About This Place

Located in the vibrant heart of Midtown Manhattan, Cafe Un Deux Trois offers an enchanting slice of authentic French cuisine just steps away from the Belasco Theater at 123 W 44th St. This charming French restaurant masterfully blends the flavors of Paris with the energy of New York’s theatre district, creating an inviting culinary destination for locals and visitors alike.

Step inside to find yourself immersed in an atmosphere where timeless French elegance meets warm, cozy comfort. The classic décor—with its old mosaic floors and stylish vintage touches—transports you to a Parisian brasserie, evoking the romance and nostalgia of France’s famed cafés. Whether you’re settling in for a leisurely breakfast or a post-show dinner, the ambiance perfectly complements the experience.

The menu at Cafe Un Deux Trois is a lovingly curated homage to French classics, bursting with rich, vibrant flavors that summon the heart of French gastronomy. Start your morning with a perfectly flaky Croissant or toasted Baguette with jam, or indulge in a savory Ham and Goat Cheese Omelette. For a more substantial breakfast, the Breakfast Combo Three Eggs served alongside your choice of bacon, ham, or sausage offers a gratifying start to the day.

As the day unfolds, the kitchen delights with signature dishes like the golden, melty Croque Monsieur and its playful counterpart, the Croque Madame, rich with the addition of a perfectly fried egg. Savor the robust, tender Boeuf Bourguignon—a slow-braised beef stew steeped in red wine and traditional herbs—or indulge in the crispy yet succulent Steak Frites, a perfect marriage of juicy meat and crisp, golden fries.

Seafood lovers will find bliss with the Moules Frites, tender mussels steamed to perfection accompanied by crunchy fries, and the delicately grilled Saumon Grille, which offers a smoky, flavorful bite. The Chicken Cordon Bleu, crispy on the outside with its succulent, cheesy interior, is a beloved classic that never disappoints.

No French meal would be complete without a grand finale, and Cafe Un Deux Trois delivers with indulgences like the caramelized, creamy Crème Brûlée, the airy and sweet Profiteroles, and the warm, buttery Tarte Tatin. These desserts are crafted with finesse, leaving diners with a lingering sense of satisfaction and delight.

Patrons consistently praise the impeccable service and welcoming staff, who are as attentive as they are knowledgeable. Theresa Cholewa’s heartfelt review perfectly captures the warmth extended to every guest: “Mark helped us all week with directions and the best ways to grab subways or cabs. He was very polite, respectful, and an amazing guy to talk to! Service was great, and the food was fresh. We can’t wait to go back!”

For theatergoers, the restaurant’s convenient location and quick, delectable three-course dinner offerings—including a thoughtfully priced theatre menu—make it an exceptional pre- or post-show dining spot. Cecelia Hall highlights the value and quality of the experience: “We got the theatre menu for $50 per person. Nice value, quick and delectable. We were in and out in an hour and a half. The food was wonderful, highly recommend this place.”

Great food, beautiful Christmas decorations, and those old mosaic floors paired with classic French décor make it feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Such a special experience.

I mean this with all the respect in the world, this place is shockingly delightful. A friend and I grabbed post-show crepes and I had a hot chocolate. Everything was delightful, staff was so sweet even though our whole bill was barely $30. They let us linger and gab. Also, it is one of the closest feelings of being in a Parisian brasserie I've found in NYC. The people near us getting food all looked good and traditional French! The crayons and paper mats were so charming.

We got the theatre menu - 3 courses for $50 pp - nice value - quick and delectable- we were in and out in an hour and a half. Dinner included appetizer, main, and dessert (see pictures). Restaurant is right next to the Belasco Theater. We made a reservation one day ahead for 5 PM. We ordered wine which was about 15-20 a glass. Highly recommend this place. Food was wonderful (see picts).

A cozy upmarket café in Midtown. The atmosphere is calm and elegant yet lively and active, the food is exquisite. The service is immaculate, from reception to check. Definitely worth a visit (and another, and another,...)!

A delight place to dine in between the Hudson theater and Belasco theater. We attended a matinee & should up early at the restaurant way before our reservation. They were very accommodating. The food & service was A+. After dinner we went to the other theater for an evening performance. Nice to stay in a one block area for most of the day!

We walked in without reservations. Great place for excellent food and holiday atmosphere before hitting the theater. If you arrive by 6:30pm you’ll get to participate in a really fun sing along to the twelve days of Christmas. Food portions were a tad small. Cocktails were very good.

Food was pretty good. I was a big fan of the lobster bisque soup. I also ordered the steak frites which was really good but I would recommend adding the pepper sauce because it’s rather boring without it. The chocolate mousse was some of the best I’ve ever had, not exaggerating. It was very light and sweet despite being dark chocolate.
